Pablo Picasso is from Malaga and a variety of places are of great importance if you like Picasso and the history surrounding this world famous painter: The Flavian Amphitheater, which is located underneath Plaza de la Merced, which was Picasso's birthplace. The Picasso Museum, museum of his native home, Museo Picasso Málaga, and even the largest terminal in Malaga Airport is named after Pablo Picasso.
Another famous personality and more contemporary is the Hollywood actor Antonio Banderas who also was born here.
José Puyet Padilla, a world famous impressionist painter was born in Malaga and who's art is owned by people such as Placido Domingo and the families from The house of Alba and The House Grimaldi.
