The Province of Lleida is situated in the north-eastern part of the Iberian Peninsula and is part of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia. It has an area of about sq. km. and here lives approx. 414.000 inhabitants. It borders with France and the provinces of Girona, Barcalona, Tarragona, Zaragoza and Huesca.
The Capital goes by the same name and cerca 30% of the provincial population resides here.
