Huelva is located in southern Spain, though the most western of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia. It covers approx. 10.150 sq. km. and has about 485.000 inhabitants.
The capital is Huelva and houses roughly 30% of the provincial population.

Palos de Frontera, on the river Rio Tinto, is where Christopher Columbus sat sail for his first voyage discovering America.

The Province boasts great variety of sights and cultural festivals, below is listed some of the most important.

The Carneval, festival of San Sebastián, Fiesta Colombinas, Fiestas de la Cinta, including the Virgin de la Cinta. But the biggest Festival is the Fiesta del Virgen Rocio, a pilgrimage where up to a million people gathers in the village Rocio in Almonte, every year in late May.

Casa Cólon, House of Christopher Colombus, Catedral de La Merced, Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes, Palacio de Mora Claros and Plaza de Toros.
