The Province of Córdoba is located in the southern part of Spain and is part of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia. Córdoba covers an area of approx. 13.770 sq. km. and has around 785.000 inhabitants, whereof almost half the population is situated in the capital also named Córdoba.

The Airport of Córdoba is just a mere 6 km. from the center of the capital and is operating as a purely domestic airport with daily flights to destinations on the Iberian Peninsula.

The Capital is located on the banks of the river of Guadalquivir and is most famous for its Mezquita, the mosque, dating back to 784 and reformed into a Catholic Cathedral during the Spanish Inquisition.

Córdoba has a big historical influence and the Romans and Islamic remains are abundant. This can be seen if visiting the Roman Bridge, the Arab baths and the Medina, Medinat Al-Zahra, so clearly here are many monuments but also gardens, among which, the Garden of Victory, the Garden of the Conde de Vallellano, The garden of Juan Carlos I, Park de Cruz Conde and The Balcón del Guadalquivir.
Córdoba is the nesting ground of historically famous philosophers, most famous being Séneca, whose name, locally, is used by many public institutions as well as private enterprises.

The capital also boasts world famous contemporary flamenco artists, such as, Joaquín Cortés, Paco Peña and Vicente Amigo who are all born here.
