Situated with a coastline to the Mediterranean Sea in the south eastern part of The Iberian Peninsula, Alicante has a great climate and tourist visits year round. The capital is named after the Province, Alicante.

Most famous in Alicante is the coastline called the "Costa Blanca" where you will find the cities of Alicante and Benidorm.

Benidorm was the first tourist location on mainland Spain to be promoted outside Spain! And even with the acceptance of the then residing Dictator Franco.
